eLearning and the Science of Instruction (1 day) - Taught by the Author!

Date: Saturday, July 12, 2008

Cost: $275.00

Taught by author Dr. Ruth Clark

eLearning and the Science of Instruction - Book CoverIs it better to describe an on-screen visual with text, with audio or with both? What kinds of visuals best promote learning? How can you use faded worked examples to accelerate learning? What kinds of simulations and games promote learning? What evidence do we have for instructional modes, methods, and architectures that work best in eLearning? Today much eLearning is designed on the basis of fads or folklore that may not be congruent with research-derived multimedia learning principles.

Based on her newly revised second edition of the best seller: e-Learning and the Science of Instruction coauthored with Dr. Richard Mayer, you will learn to apply updated evidence-based guidelines on the best use of text, audio, and graphics, examples, learning agents, and practice to promote learning in digital learning environments. You will learn fundamental multimedia learning principles, the research evidence behind them, as well as when and how to apply them.

You will receive a copy of the second edition of e-Learning & the Science of Instruction in this workshop!

Prerequisites: None
